FOOD CAN HEAL OR HARM. THE CHOICE IS YOURS.
You Are What You DON'T Eat flips our paradigm and proves that it is often what we DON'T put in our bodies that can heal us.
Inherited metabolic disorders affect up to 1 in 1,000 newborns. According to the National Institutes of Health, up to 23.5 million Americans (nearly eight percent of the population) suffer from an autoimmune disease, and the prevalence is rising. I am an educator, a mother of two and a passionate agent of change. You Are What You DON'T Eat will take you on a journey of medical jigsaw puzzles that ends with your own story (the final chapter is, in fact, titled “Your Story”). You Are What You DON'T Eat is a conversation, an education and a salvation that will help you manage (or even discover) your chronic illnesses, thus improving your individual quality of life and simultaneously reducing our collective burden on a medical system that is too reactive and has ignored the preventative power of diet on one’s health.

When he was born, we did not know my son had a rare metabolic disorder. He was in and out of hospitals for the first 18 months of his life. Once I put him on a carbohydrate-restricted diet, he went from dying to thriving.
My daughter and I were able to put our autoimmune diseases into remission by following autoimmune-friendly diets.
You Are What You DON’T Eat takes you on a journey to discover the foods that heal and harm you so that you can go from illness to wellness.
